The Story Behind It
In 2001, Bread of Life Makati (BOLM) embarked on a faith journey when it transferred its worship services from Mondragon building to the bigger “marketplace” that is Glorietta 4 (G4).
True to our church’s calling of bringing Christ to the “marketplace”—the cosmopolitan center where people from all walks of life converge—BOLM would be the breath of fresh air for weary souls seeking a personal and meaningful relationship with God amidst the dizzying pace of Makati. As “fishers of men”, we were simply moving to “a bigger pond to catch more fish”.
And true to His Word and His promises, the Lord moved mountains! Soon, He was filling Cinema 6 in G4 to full capacity and simultaneous additional worship services in Greenbelt Onstage had to be opened. All in just 1 year! And His provisions were never lacking!
In 2004, the Mosaic Lounge, situated at the 3rd floor of Greenbelt 1 (GB1) was built entirely through the prayers and corporate sacrifice of BOLM members including the youth. God’s faithfulness (in providing for what He wants to accomplish through ordinary people whose hearts are willing to be His instruments at whatever personal cost) is the inspiration behind Project Mosaic.
Now in 2007, the Lord is once more giving BOLM the opportunity to take a bigger and bolder leap of faith with Project Mosaic….
Greenbelt 5 is being constructed. Mosaic Lounge is situated right in the path of the planned corridor connecting Greenbelt 1 and Greenbelt 5. With this, our Mosaic Lounge will soon be demolished…. In its place, Ayala Management agreed to lease to BOLM the bigger space in front! Thus, the birth of Project Mosaic….
What is Project Mosaic?
It is the lifewalk of a people who made the choice to fulfill their purpose – to love God and serve mankind. It is about attempting great things for God, and expecting great things from Him. It is about every individual’s heart journey…. This journey is presently manifested by the rising of a BOLM ministry center – bigger and better!
The new premises will be located at the 3rd floor of GB1, in front of our Mosaic Lounge. It will be five times bigger and will include, among others, a place where people can gather and be refreshed, get books and other resources, a place for children, rooms for small meetings plus other facilities for ministry purposes.
Project Mosaic will be at the connecting walkway between Greenbelt 1 and 5. It will be in the path of the busy people in Makati. Project Mosaic is our way to reach out to the people around us so they can experience firsthand the love of God, hear the good news, and know Christ…. It will be a haven for every individual.
Project Mosaic is about the God who transforms hearts and builds lives. It is about the Faithful and Mighty God whose signature is seen in each of the stories of our personal journey with Him.
