I heard about this project when I was at the youth group of Greenbelt. I was encouraged to be part of this project. But how? Weeks passed by and we continued to pray for this project. Then came the Mountain Chillout at TGPM, Antipolo. Three days of training was really tough, but we learned so much. We were taught how to pray, to be an agent for God.

After the training, we went down the mountain. Then the following day was a Sunday. We get to meet each other again and talk about the project. So I prayed, prayed, and prayed for God to give me a part of this project.

So days passed by, I was preparing for school and requested my mom to buy me a guitar, and my mom agreed. I waited for weeks, but I really can’t get the guitar. I asked God why He wouldn’t give me a guitar. Then He told me to sacrifice the guitar for the project. At first, it was really hard giving it up. But I remembered myself asking God for a part in the project. So I decided to give it for the project. Til one monday, I was attending at the “In The Zone” at Mosaic Lounge. After the service, my dad talked to his friend, and mentioned about the guitar. Then my dad’s friend told me that he would buy me a new guitar. Maybe he was blessed or whatever. I really don’t know, but I really got excited.

Until one morning when I woke up for school, I saw the acoustic guitar. I was really happy. While riding the school bus, I realized that when you make God first above all, He will give you even more than what you expect.

I was only expecting a simple guitar from God, but I had a really nice one! I also remembered our youth teacher telling us that, “hindi dahil estudyante ka wala kang magagawa”.

So there, I had a new guitar and at the same time had a part in the project. Well, I think that’s all. How about you? What’s your story? :P
