A Birthday Wish

This entry was posted on Friday, July 20th, 2007

A businesswoman who always desired to join the Korea Prayer Study Tour asked the Lord if the tour could be His birthday gift to her. But she also had a burden for Project Mosaic. When she was told that the slots for Korea had been filled, she did not feel bad. Instead, she gave the amount she saved for the tour to Project Mosaic. Later she said “Sobra-sobra ang blessings ni Lord sa akin. Dapat sa business ko mahina na ang benta sa panahon ngayon, pero naka-receive pa ako ng malaking order galing sa probinsiya.”

A call center agent who unexpectedly won a television set which she and her housemates had long wanted to buy initially struggled when she realized God wanted her to let go of her prize. “Ang gusto lang pala ng Lord sa akin ay sumunod ako and ignore my own desires.” She gave up the TV set and gave the proceeds of the sale to Project Mosaic. She understood that “God truly doesn’t need my money. He wants me to honor Him instead of honoring myself.”
